I just signed up for an account on thumbtack.com.  You can view my listing and information about my business here: Making Time Stand Still

I really need to get back in the swing of blogging...

Here's a picture of my baby girl during a trip to the petting zoo the other day, and one of my son enjoying an ice cream cone my nana made for him.

Boudoir Photography - What It Is (And Isn't)

I have done a few boudoir sessions this year, and it is always so much fun.  To capture images of a woman and allow her to see that she truly is beautiful, no matter what her size.  I have had some people ask me what exactly is boudoir.  So, here it is.  The definition (as taken from Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudoir) A Boudoir is a lady's private bedroom, sitting room, or dressing room.

Boudoir photographs are fantastic gifts to give your fiance or husband.  How exposed you are is solely up to you.  Don't feel like you have to "bare it all" just because these are sexy photos.  Wear a white button down shirt, or your mans favorite jersey.  Silky negligees and corsets are very popular.

One lie women tell themselves is that they cannot have boudoir photographs taken because they are not "skinny".  That is just not true.  All women are beautiful in their own way.  Embrace your curves.  Out of the three boudoir sessions I have photographed, all three were stunning, but only one was not considered "plus-sized" by our society.

Boudoir sessions take place either in the comfort of your own home, or in a hotel room.

Currently, my favorite boudoir photographer can be found at www.theboudoirvixen.com/blog.

If you would like to see some images from my boudoir sessions to get a feel for them, feel free to email me at rachel.kline.photo at gmail.com and I will get the information to you.

*S* Family - Three Generations of Love

You may remember Stephanie, Terry, and their beautiful girl, Maddy, from last November when I photographed Maddy's first birthday party:

Stephanie contacted me two months ago about doing pictures for her mom's 50th birthday.  I, of course, jumped at the chance.  They are an awesome family, and I love that they trust me to capture these special moments in their lives.  We met up on Memorial Day weekend at her moms house (which used to be her Grandma's house) and got some awesome pictures.  Here are some of my favorites.

Maddy was a bit uncooperative at the beginning, and I am a sucker for a crying baby.

I love this one

This one belongs on a canvas above a mantle <3

Thanks again, Stephanie!  It was great seeing you guys again, and I cannot believe how big Maddy has gotten.  :)

*S* Family & Lizzy Turns One

I met Valerie a little over a year ago.  Her husband, Tim, works with my husband, and our baby boys are only a week apart in age.  We started getting together for playdates when Val was still pregnant with Lizzy, and we became so close.  Lizzy was born with a condition called gastroschisis (I think that's what it is called.  Val, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.)  Anyway, the condition was so severe that Lizzy spent at least half of her first year of life in the hospital, away from her mom and dad and big brother.  This family has been through so much, I was thrilled when they asked me to do some family pictures to mark Lizzy's first birthday (a birthday that some doctors thought she would never reach.)  This little miracle baby has a long way to go, but her family has so much love for her, and she has so many people praying for her.  I feel truly honored that I got to be a part of their celebration of life.

Thank you, guys, for giving me the chance to capture these moments for you.  You are wonderful friends, and we are so blessed to call you our friends!

*Theron Turns One*

I met Kim through a friend and client of mine, and she contacted me to take pictures for her sons first birthday.  We met at her grandmother's house on a beautiful Saturday evening, and despite the soggy ground from previous rains, we had a great time.  Theron was ADORABLE, and I love how the whole family got in on the action.

Theron's great-grandpa bought this chair and desk when Theron was still in his mama's belly.  The plan was for him to re-finish the chair and desk, but he passed away before Theron was born.  I love that they were able to pull these out and get pictures with them.  (Oh, and this was Theron's first ever lollipop.  I think he liked it.)

Love this picture with his grandma

Thanks so much for letting me capture these moments for your family, Kim!  I look forward to seeing you again!
