*Sam & Ruth* Senior Prom

I met Sam and Ruth about a year and a half ago through the youth group at my church.  They are a pretty amazing couple of teens and I consider myself blessed to know them.  This was such a fun session, and for all you high school seniors, if you can, I highly recommend getting your friends together for a session this summer before you all head your separate ways to college, etc.  What a great way to capture some memories and have a TON of fun.

I met Sam at Ruth on a HOT Saturday afternoon.  We started at one of the local playgrounds, then headed to the public library in Athens, and ended with Waverly Glen.  It was a great time and I got a lot of beautiful shots.  Here are some of my favorites.  (I will warn you, there's a lot!)

I really love the heart on her dress in this one.

Thanks for meeting up with me, guys.  It was a lot of fun, and I'm so glad I got a chance to see you both again.  It's been way too long!  :)

Family Session - *V* Family

I met Brittany through Facebook.  A friend of hers who was a client of mine gave her my name and she messaged me to book her session.  (Don't forget my referral bonuses!  For every friend you refer to me who books and holds their appointment on the original date you receive $10 off a future session!)

Anyway, I met Brittany, her husband, and her stepson at the park in downtown Sayre on a chilly but gorgeous Saturday morning.  We started off with pictures in the gazebo and then walked over to the old train station.  As we made our way back to the park we stopped at some older buildings as well as a beautiful old church and got some great photos.   Here are some of my favorites.

Brittany, it was so great to meet you, and I hope we can do it again soon!!

Wendy & Josh - *Engaged*

Wendy called me about her upcoming wedding after being referred to me by a woman from our church.  We met at her parents house a couple weeks ago on a Thursday evening for their engagement pictures.  (Engagement photos are included in the standard wedding package price, by the way.)  Wendy and Josh are both great.  They have an awesome sense of humor, and we laughed for most of the hour I was there.  I felt like I had known them for a long time as soon as I met them.  Maybe it was the many emails we sent back and forth before finally meeting for pictures.

Here are my favorites:

I had a great time getting to know you both, and I can't wait for July 28th!

Just Because - *Sarah and Dan*

Sarah goes to my church and we officially met last Spring.  In just a few short months her and I became super close.  Then she went away to college.  When she is home on break we get together, and she babysits my kids, because they love her so much.  She's amazing, and I was so excited when she told me her boyfriend would be coming to visit for New Years. First because I would FINALLY get to meet him, and second because she wanted some pictures of the two of them together.  We met at Waverly Glen on a cloudy day.  We (well, Sarah and I) had so much fun.  I'm not sure about Dan...guys don't generally think getting their picture taken is fun.

They are so cute, and I love seeing how happy Sarah is when she's with Dan.  :)

Jen and Rob - Family/Engagement

I have known Jen since high school and we reconnected on Facebook a couple years ago.  I love Facebook for that very reason!  Her son, Nick, is my sons age, and he is one of the most adorable boys in the world.  (Next to my son, of course.  ;)  Anyway, I was thrilled when Jen messaged me about photographing her September 8th wedding.  We were trying to plan out their engagement session when the flood hit.  Jen and Rob were some of the unlucky families whose house got hit, and because of that they lost so many photographs.  That was when we decided to do an engagement/family session.

I met them at Waverly Glen on a freezing morning in November.  It warmed up, and the light was beautiful, and until it got warm they were all troopers.  Rob also brought two of his sons (and their significant others) and his daughter from his first marriage.  I have known his daughter Ari for years, when her and my baby sister became friends.

It was great meeting up with you guys, and I am looking forward to September 8th!
